McComb's Coach Travel

It's all about the coach driver!

We took this tour in August of 2014, my grandmother and I. It was our first all day bus tour and I would do it again in a second.

We were a little confused about the exact starting point but we saw a group of people and several large coaches so you really couldn't miss it, people were very helpful

Liam, the man in charge, was wonderful. I had mentioned that my grandmother was using a wheelchair and he had saved us seats in the front of the coach. Being in the front seat gave us the best tour possible. Not only did my grandmother have an easy time getting on and off, but I also got amazing photos and we got to sit directly behind our amazing coach driver, Allen.

The tour included stops at Carrickfergus Castle, then Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, Old Bushmill's Distillery for lunch, Dunluce Castle, and Giant's Causeway.

We had a little bit of a rocky start because a tour bus from Dublin run by Real Tours was supposed to meet us at our first stop and they were very late. Allen kept us entertained and we also received a discount on tickets to the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and the visitor's center at Giant's Causeway because of the delay.

Allen did a wonderful job with timing even though multiple parties were late getting back to the coach at multiple stops. He kept his cool under circumstances in which I would've been extremely frustrated (& probably left the passengers who were late!). He gave very clear and specific instructions about where to go, what to do, and when we needed to be back. He was also very knowledgeable about everything we passed and every site we stopped at.

Because of all of the delays we only had time to stop at Dunluce Castle for a quick photo op, I'm not sure what the original plan would have been. Allen also had to call Bushmill's Distillery to make sure that they would stay open for us for lunch as we were late (they did).

If you only have one day in Belfast I HIGHLY recommend this tour and with McComb's. If I were you I would also request Allen. We both had a fantastic time, never stopped laughing and never stopped learning.
