There are a looootttt of emotions going on as we start to wind down on our trip! With just two days left, we’ve had amazing weather and so many adventures we’ll remember forever. Last week we were surprised with a 45 photo preview by our photographer and this morning we woke up to a reel from our videographer; these memories from our wedding popping up along on our honeymoon has also been really fun!
Every new hotel has been my new favorite, so it was no surprise that I said the same thing when we checked into the Altis Avenida Hotel in downtown Lisbon. We had macarons and champagne waiting for us and also a balcony with a table and chairs! It’s so cute!
We freshened up from the train ride and popped over to a mexican restaurant, El Paso Cantina, for a taste of home. Back at the hotel we watched the latest episode of Taskmaster and called it an early night.
Monday morning we were up and at ‘em early for an all day guided tour Evan booked with Viator to Sintra, Pena, Regaleira, Cabo da Roca, and Cascais. Our tour guide, Iago, was a fantastic story teller and we really learned a lot and enjoyed our day. It was also awesome to visit the most western point of Europe! Our group was small, just eight people including Evan and I, all from the US (New Jersey, Ohio, and Chicago!). We all had lunch together and then got attacked by seagulls at the end of the night trying to eat our gelato.
Today we’re headed to the aquarium, something that was affected by the rocky start to our trip! We were fortunate to be able to extend our visit by one day so instead of leaving tomorrow, we’re headed back Thursday. I’m excited!
