Lunch, Dinner, & Lobster Rolls (+ Drinks & Dessert)
The North end
The North End is the “Little Italy” area of Boston and it’s accessible via walk from the MBTA Blue Line to Aquarium. We recommend:
Pauli’s - Excellent and fairly priced lobster rolls. Be advised, they do not have a lot of room for indoor seating.
Mike’s Pastry, Modern Pastry, and Bova’s Bakery - I’m a Mike’s girl and Evan prefers Modern. They’re both cash only and there’s usually a line but they move quickly. Bova is open 24hrs so they’re there for you any time!
Caffe Paradiso - They have the BEST pistachio martini I’ve ever had. It’s a must visit.
The West end
The West End is an area of Boston encompassing Massachusetts General Hospital and TD Garden (Home of the Bruines & Celtics); it’s accessible via walk from the MBTA Blue Line to Bowdoin or Orange Line to North Station or Haymarket. We recommend:
City Winery - Several locations across the US, they offer great wine, delicious food, and fun shows and concerts!
Alcove - It’s been a while since I’ve eaten here but they offer outdoor seating and a nice view, plus Night Shift Brewing is nearby.
The Liberty - An old jail that is now a dog friendly hotel that houses multiple places to eat and drink, including Alibi, Clink, and The Liberty Bar.
Cambridge, Somerville
Boston is actually kind of small - the surrounding cities & neighborhoods are definitely worth visiting!
Somerville
Sarma - Middle Eastern small plates - it’s amazing and reservations fill up quickly, so check now!
Downtown Boston
Downtown Boston includes Faneuil Hall, but we don’t suggest you eat there - just walk through to see it! Instead, we recommend:
Sam La Grassa’s - Literally the best sandwich in Boston (and the price reflects that).
High Street Place - Food Hall with multiple vendors.
Yvonne’s - A speakeasy!
The Dubliner - Famous Irish pub with a well known chef. Ed Sheeran played here.. and so have I!
Back Bay
Back Bay is quintessential Boston. Home to Newbury Street and Comm Ave, it’s a must visit. We recommend:
Lolita - Usually busy, we recommend reservations! If you can’t get in, try the Fort Point location!
Levain Bakery - The cookies here.. oh my days.
Seaport / Fort Point
The Seaport can be a little annoying to get to, but it’s worth it! Such a cute neighborhood with a ton of food, shopping, & things to do. You can take a boat there, Uber/Lyft, or walk from MBTA Blue Line Aquarium. We recommend:
Lucky’s Lounge - This is a small place with great food & drinks!
Trillium Brewing - Boston Brewery serving up craft beers and a pretzel with beer cheese (my favorite).
Lolita - Delicious margaritas, two locations; Fort Point has a patio!
Fenway / Kenmore
The Red Sox may or may not be playing when you’re in town - either way there’s plenty to do on the west side of the city.
Don’t Tell Aunty - New-ish Indian gastro pub; SO good!
Time Out Market - A unique spot with multiple vendors!
